We have been working with a coalition of folks to protect an ancient forest up in the Black Ram area of the Yaak Valley in Montana from clearcut. This forest is incredibly diverse. There is no burn record in the last 800 years. The vision is for this forest to become designated as the first climate refuge. This ecosystem should have the chance to be studied and learned from, not cut down. at this point in time that would be a mistake, these trees stand to teach humans so much about resilience.

Wilder Buffalo continues to grow and expand. We are grateful for the deep sense of community that is emerging after over two years of holding space for Wilder Buffalo within the Twin Citie’s urban wilds. We are additionally grateful for the support from Perennial Cycle, Oyate Hotanin, and Banjo Brothers who allow us to offer these events free to the public.
