Concert for the Trees

We have been working with a coalition of folks to protect an ancient forest up in the Black Ram area of the Yaak Valley in Montana from clearcut. This forest is incredibly diverse. There is no burn record in the last 800 years. The vision is for this forest to become designated as the first climate refuge. This ecosystem should have the chance to be studied and learned from, not cut down. at this point in time that would be a mistake, these trees stand to teach humans so much about resilience.

In the fall of 2021 we went to visit this old forest and sing them some songs. That concert for the trees is included in this online event that was produced by the Yaak Valley Forest Council.
